Brown and Black Belt/Instructor Training classes 2024

The SKKK Brown, Blackbelt and Instructor training will resume as from July 2024 and will be held at the old Brighton Dojo – Rottingdean Whiteway Centre, Whiteway Lane, Brighton. BN2. Classes will be from 10 am to 1pm and will cost: £20 for the full three hours and are open to all grades but will be focused on senior level topics and training. For those registered on the SKKK Instructor Training Programme, these sessions will count towards your final qualification.

 All SKKK Dan Grades that are regularly teaching or assisting are required to attend these sessions to maintain their own standards.

 The dates and topics for 2024 are;

 July 14th - Review of Heian 1-5, Gohon and Sanbon Kumite

 August 11th - Parts of the body used in Karate; Heian 1 and 2 in detail and a review of Gohon and Sanbon

 September 15th - Overview of Stances; Heian 3 and 4 in detail; Ippon Kumite

 October 20th - Hip rotation power in Karate; Bunkai, Oyo and Henka

 November 17th - Body shifting in Karate; Heian 5 in detail

December 15th - Body vibration in Karate; Tekki 1 and Bassai Dai; Ippon Kumite review
